LEAVE GRANTED for herald!!

nothing's pending for the time being.so i have the opprtunity to laze around in the office and blog hopping..hahaha..anyway, me n a fren of mine had this conversation on one judicial review hearing before YA Lau Bee Lan. we talked about the white book (sy br tau apa itu white boook) and oso brutum fulmen (which he pronounced it as butum fullem)..haha bantai je laa pakcik oiii..latin maxim kan.klu latino speaks malay pon bunyik dia cam doremon cakap jawa.

read an article this morning.

YA Lau Bee Lan has granted leave for the applicant under o53 RHC. seeking an order for certiorari, the applicant was dissatisfied with the Home Ministry's decision prohibiting the use of the word "Allah" in the Herald Catholic Weekly as a condition to its publication permit for the year 2009.

there are 7 other declarations sought by the applicants, those are inter alia;

1. That the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word "Allah" in the Herald in the exercise of his right that other religions other than Islam may be practised in peace.
2. That Article 3(1) of the Federal Constitution does not empower the respondents to prohibit the applicant from using the word "Allah" in the Herald.
3. That the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word "Allah" in the weekly in the exercise of his right to freedom of speech and expression.
4. That the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word "Allah" in the Herald in the exercise of his freedom of religion which includes the right to manage its own religious affairs.
5. That the applicant has the constitutional right to use the word "Allah" in the Herald in the exercise his right in respect of education of the Catholic congregation in the Christian religion.
6. That the Printing Presses and Publications Act 1984 does not authorise the respondents to prohibit the applicant from using the word "Allah" in the Herald and
7. That the word "Allah" is not exclusive to the religion of Islam

ermmm..look at item no.7...too much arent they? but somthing for u peeps to ponder, why they wanna use the word Allah to describe their God?

im not sure whtehr bible has ever mentioned the word "Allah" as i havent got the opportunity to read the text yet.

i noticed tht i am becoming more serious in my writings lately..ntah hape pasai ntah yaaa..mungkin sudah tiba masa untuk ....?

anyway..saja laa nk bg tau..pelakon bollywood yg kawen dgn abishek tu nama dia aishwarya rai..bukan ASHWARA RAI...aishwarya raidah pon ok gak kot..ahahahahahahha

takpe emon, serious kau pun aku boleh sengih2 baca blog kau.

but this topic aku tak sengih2.
my two cents worth is,..banyak lagi benda yang gomen kene cakne isu agama, especially dari segi dakwah n islah to fellow muslims which i think had been terribly forsaken.

Penggunaan "Allah" dalam bible is an academical and sociology discourse, dan saya tidak rasa court's decision would be sufficient.

tak sabar laa plak to hear the merits of tthe application.

cumanya..aku ter pk gak..dh jd mcm trend yaa..bila melibatkan agama islam, non muslim judges akan buat decision yg mcm ni.

lau bee lan-herald's case

owh okeh..anor thing, father lawrence oso said tht "In the first Malay-Latin dictionary, which dates back to 1631, the translation for Deus is Allah,"

ermm..ancient manuscript? tahun 1631..now there's one more issue to be dealt with..AUTHENTICITY!

aku stil tak phm y thy wanna fight over using the term Allah to describe God instead of Tuhan?

tp bgs gak..we can see tht thy are admitting Allah sebagai Tuhan.

anyway..ko gelak pasal aishwarya raidah yer? knapa aku rasa cam seswai je kan..lalalalala

amicus curiae said...

tak..aku dok gelak2 sebab aku terbayang2 kau yang serious! haha

ashwarya raidah tu ok la,seswai.abicek mana kau nak cari?

aku rasa, imho, judges mmg kena be politikal, in the sense that they know the affairs of the state outside court, tapi tak blehla be influenced by it.i dont know how is this possible, sebab bila orang kata political, semua orang akan assume to be political, u have to take sides.

aku serious time tdo je..hahaah.sapa kaco aku time tdo mmg kna laa hangin puting beliung aku.

dlm court pon aku leh TERbuat lawaks.. YA dato' su oso thinks tht im cute..hahah judicial notice tu!!!!

ayat dato' su yg tak bleh blah
"counsel, i personally think ur cute n very humble"

dan aku pun dgn cumelnye menjawab:

"i shall concur with your ladyship"

TPR XXX pula menyatakan:

"i have no objection Yang Arif"

tetiba je...tak relevan sungguh!!!!

dan saya, sebagai Amicus Curiae, akan bangun seraya berkata: "objection, irrelevant to the merits of the case".

pastu satu court akan pandang aku dengan pandangan membunuh.

aku object bukan sebab tak betul, sebab tak relevan.
